Staffing for new school year

Each year at this time a major topic of discussion centers around what our teaching staff will consist of for the next year. Which teachers are returning? Is anyone leaving? Are any teachers changing classes? Already these questions have been coming in. In an effort to provide the correct information rather than rumors I'd like to announce next years staffing as we know it so far:

PK3 - Open

PK4 - Mrs. Prime

Kindergarten - Mrs. Pasierb

1st Grade - Mrs. Stackhouse

2nd Grade - Mrs. Aliotti

3rd Grade - Mrs. Bershaw

4th Grade - Open

5th Grade Homeroom - Mrs. Dewar

6th Grade Homeroom - Mrs. Hallsted

7th Grade Homeroom/Advanced Math - Open

8th Grade Homeroom - Mrs. Gibson

After 24 years, Mrs. O'Brien is retiring at the end of this school year. In addition, Mrs. Lewis will not be returning to First Lutheran. With Mrs. Dewar taking on the 5th grade homeroom position Mrs. Popp will have more time to concentrate on Principal duties. These changes have left us with three openings. The Board of Education has already begun the process of interviewing candidates for these positions. Continue to keep our search for staff in your daily prayers.
